Surrey Outpatient Care & Surgery Centre

With staffing needs beginning in April 2011, the new Surrey Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre will be a leading facility in the delivery of outpatient services – a model of best practices and clinical integration, as well as a great workplace for physicians and employees. It was specifically built as an outpatient facility, transferring outpatient services from the nearby Surrey Memorial Hospital, and combining space for day surgery and diagnostic procedures with specialized clinics and programs (including primary care) all within one building,

Critical Care Tower, Surrey Memorial Hospital

Bring your expert critical care skills to a state-of the art hospital facility. Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH) is the largest acute care site in Fraser Health, and has the busiest emergency department in the province. SMH has over 450 acute care beds and currently provides a full range of primary and secondary level hospital services to the community of Surrey and the wider South Fraser area.  In addition, the hospital provides selected tertiary-level services to all of Fraser Health. Existing modern facilities range from a comprehensive acute geriatric program, maternity, pediatrics, surgery services, medicine, outpatient programs, critical care/emergency services, mental health and adolescent day treatment.

Be a part of the exciting Critical Care Tower project. The expansion will help meet the acute care needs in the region, and includes the following: a new emergency department providing specialized mental health and geriatric units, separate children's ER, and an enhanced minor treatment unit, a Critical Care Tower featuring a dedicated perinatal centre and rooftop helipad, two floors of additional inpatient beds; an expanded adult intensive care unit, additional academic space to support the growing partnership between Fraser Health and the University of British Columbia medical school.
